As with any new idea that pushes the scope of normal thinking, Project SUM received press that was "the good, the bad, and the ugly".

Positive comments came from neighbors who were excited to see something happening in their part of town. Of course art is supposed to stimulate, supposed to excite. Project SUM seemed to have scored on that part also. See comments at end of Somerville News article.

And the ugly was the typical destruction of public work that happens. Vandalism is the lowest form of art ignorance.
